AAESP provides a toll free 800# hotline to get immediate response to questions, order materials, or connect with a mentor to solve problems or discuss successes with principals of schools of similar size.

AAESP provides the opportunity for principals to attend the Alaskan Fall Principal Conference where nationally recognized speakers are keynoting and provides the opportunity to brainstorm with other principals from around the state to help determine policy, goals, and educational priorities for the year.

AAESP encourages participation in the legislative fly-in, attendance at other inserves and the NAESP National Convention & Exposition.

AAESP provides members with professional publications and free membership in the "American Student Council" from NAESP headquarters.

AAESP is a professional association that represents principals at the federal, state and local level to encourage legislation and regulations which strengthen American education.

ACSA is the branch of your membership that is directly responsible for educational lobbying in Juneau face-to-face with your legislators. Dollars play a major role in education at all levels and without the lobbying efforts of ACSA and Alaskan principals, major changes in the instructional unit value, tenure, early childhood education, professional excellence, retirement, capitol school projects, and legislation affecting violence in the schools, etc., could be at risk.

NAESP's lobby efforts at the federal level by their professional staff and Alaskan principals provide valuable input for our Senators and Representatives to stay up-to-date with education in Alaska. AAESP has been actively involved in representing the best educational interests for Alaskan children, parents and schools as we personally meet with each of our elected national legislators each July in Washington D.C.
